Young Evangelist Making A Difference In Ethiopia

Index Religion

The Danish Evangelist Peter Capili Hansen and his wife have recently been in Ethiopia. They went around to different churches and conferences in Addis Adaba, Nazareth and Shashemene for 35 days having powerful evangelistic healing services. Hundreds of people gave their lives to Christ and many experienced a healing miracle as well. Alongside the evangelistic meetings, the Danish evangelist, with Angel Relief International, also went to an orphanage and gave out food, school supplies, and toothbrushes to kids.
Bring Back the Full Gospel!
The gospel of Jesus Christ was preached and many were amazed to hear the gospel being preached so clearly. Many church leaders and pastors expressed appreciation for the focus on Jesus and the gospel in the meetings and some said they have not heard the gospel being so much in the center for a long time. Evangelist Peter says ”If I don't preach the full gospel about Jesus, I am not preaching at all and I am called to preach the full gospel. The gospel makes people free. That is the most important thing, nothing else.” Many young pastors were inspired by the gospel preaching and now they want to focus on that in their own ministries.
Orphanage in Nazareth!
Angel Relief had toothbrushes, juice, cookies and pens to the children in a orphanage in Nazareth, Ethiopia. Peter Hansen gave all the children bible stories and after the kids was given a tooth brush, pens, cookies and juice. This was a Christian orphanage directed by a local Ethiopian evangelist. They are helping the kids with education and other needs.
Village Outreach!
Angel Relief International went to southern Ethiopia in the area of Shashemene to speak in a missionary church and do an evangelistic and humanitarian outreach in one of the poorest villages in this area. In the village of Hagugeta Kudnhi, people live in small, round mud houses and food is very limited. In fact, children have died just recently in this village due to malnutrition. A Filipino missionary, Rev. Jon Coronel, invited Peter & Abby to this place and coordinated the outreach in the village. The group used an off-roader truck to go to the village as there is no real road to the village. Evangelist Peter Hansen preached the gospel to the whole village that was gathered, sitting on the grass under the burning sun. There were about 2500 village people, many of whom were Muslims sitting in the grass. But Evangelist Peter preached a very radical gospel message about salvation!
After the gospel crusade Angel Relief gave out wheat to about 185 families and notebooks, cookies and pens for the kids. People were very orderly when receiving food, but when the kids were given notebooks, hundreds of people both adults and kids almost mobbed the team! Angel Relief was informed that this was the first time someone came to the village to give them something. Peter said, ”The need is so big here in Ethiopia and we want to make a lasting impact by helping people, meeting their spiritual needs and physical needs. We want to support this kind of mission in the future as well. We want to go back to Africa!”.

THANK GOD ALL THE TIME

Hello there,
I got this material yesterday and i feel everyone out there that follow this blog need to benefit from it,about what happens in Heaven.Enjoy it।
what happens in Heaven।
i dreamt that i went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around.we walked side-by-side inside alarge workroom filled with angels।
My angel guide stopped in front of this first section and said,"this is THE recieving section here,ALL petitions to GOD said in prayer are resiyeved।"
i around in this area, and it was terribly busy vith so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheet and scraps from people ALL over THE world।
THEN we moved on down a long corridor until we reached THE second section.THE angel then said to me ,"this is THE delivery section. Here,THE graces and THE blessings THE people asked for are processed and delivered to THE living persons who asked for them।
i noticed again how busy it was there.there were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to earth।
Finally at THE farthest end of THE long corridor we stopped at THE door of a very small station.to my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing."this is THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT section,"my angel friend quietly admitted to me.He seemed embarrassed"how is it that there is no work going on here?"I asked.
"So sad,"the angel sighed."After people recieve the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgements."
"How does one acknowledge God's blessings?"I asked.
"Simple,"the angel answered.Just say,"THANK YOU,LORD."
"What blessings should they acknowledge?"I asked.
"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back,a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank,in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the worlds wealthy."
"After if you get this on your computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity."
Also"If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...you are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day."
"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture,or the pangs of starvation..you are ahead of 700million people in the world."
"If you can attend a church without fear of harrassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by,and more blessed than,3billion people in the world."
"If you parents are still alive and still married...you are very rare."
"If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you are unique to all those in doubt and despair."
Ok,what now?How can I start?
If you can read this message, you just recieved a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over 2billion people in the world who cannot read at all.
Have a good day, count your blessins, and if you want, pass this along to remind evryone else how blessed we all are.
ACKNOWLEDGE DEPT:"Thank you Lord, for giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many wonderful people to share it with"

...AND HE RETURNED TO GIVE THANKS.

LUKE 19:11-19

It is another season of thanksgiving.Let us examine some silent truth about the above scriptures as regards thanksgiving.

In Luke 17:11-19,the man that returned to give thanks was a foreigner,he was not even a Jew but a samaritan. It expected that the Jews should be in a better position to appreciate God for His blessings but alas in this story it was not so.The other nine lepers that enjoyed the healing power of God never bother to returned to thank Him.
As we thank God for anwered prayers we need to also thank Him for unanswered prayers because in everything the Bible says give thanks.(1Thes.5:18).The other nine took God for granted despite experiencing the great touch from the GREAT PHYSICIAN!
My dear esteemed reader are you like the nine lepers that never return to show appreciation.
Many of us are in the category of the nine lepers, but we can repent today and start thanking God for all He has done for us this year 2008 that is fast drawing to a close.Cast your mind back to the beginning of this year;so many people had died,so many wounded spiritually and physically,so even died just yesterday.I f you say that you have experience a lot of bad things this year as a child of God and so wondering why you need to thank God,WHAT ABOUT THE FACT THAT YOU ARE STILL ALIVE.It means you are still in the plans of God.
God has alot of things in stock for you and your family if only you will make up your mind to start appreciating Him at all times.
Going back to the story of the ten lepers, the nine quickly forgot the source of their healing, they were too eager to start enjoying their new status. Are you like that?Dont you realise that no matter your level of attainment in life,it is solely because of God's mercies, like what the Bible says in 2Corithians 3:5. Our sufficiency is of God!Dont you ever forget that,it very important to how far you will go in life. You must never forget the Source.
So, as the year draw to a close make up your mind to remember God as your source by giving Him quality thanks! Also remember that nothing is free!If something is free it is because someone had paid for it.Salvation is free but the Lord Jesus Christ paid for it for the entire human race including you dear reader.
In cloclusion, the Lord Jesus Christ pronounced wholeness on the man that returned to say thank you.PLEASE BE THAT MAN/WOMAN that returned to give thanks to God and watch a new dimension of blessing upon your life and family.START THANKING HIM FROM TODAY!

God bless you.

Shalom.

What Is Thanksgiving ?

It is an expression of gratitude for what God is and His uncommon mercies!

We ought to graduate from thanksgiving day to a thanksgiving life,i.e.,it should be on a daily basis.

Please note the following about thanksgiving:

(1)Thanksgiving is more meaningful when it is voluntary,i.e.,willingly without being compelled.Lev.22;29.

(2)It involves praise and worship to the Lord. Most of us do that only in the church.Neh.12:46.

(3)It is an offering to God.Ps.116:17.

(4)It is not something that is leftover. Some of us offer God something that does not worth it.2Sam.24:24.

(5)It reflects well on the blessings of God.i.e.,we thank God only for the good times, forgetting that God is also God of the bad times.1Thes.5:18;Ps.69:30.

(6)It is about God and not really what we get from Him.Ps.30:4.

(7)It is a recognition of the sources of the blessings you get from Him.Ps.103:1-5.

God bless you a you make thanksgiving every moment of your life.A grateful heart will NEVER be grounded.

Shalom!
